CP SALMAN DOGO GARBA PAYS VISIT TO COALITION OF ULAMA, QADIRIYYA, TIJJANIYYA LEADERS

As CP appreciates efforts towards preaching peace; seeks more prayers, support and cooperation
On 21st November 2024, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Police Command, CP Salman Dogo Garba in compliance with the directive and vision of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM to all Police Commands and Formations on the implementation of robust Community-based Policing and the Commands effort to ensure a more peaceful and secure Kano State, extended visit to the Coalition of Ulama led by Pof. Musa Borodo, the Shura Committee of Tijjaniyya led by Sheikh Khalifa Sani Shehu Mai Hula, Gidan Qadiriyya led by Halifa Sheikh Dr. Qaribullah Nasiru Kabara.
2. In his remarks at the visits, the Commissioner of Police stated that “I deemed it very necessary to visit and thank you in recognition of the vital roles you play in promoting peace, harmony, public education and enlightenment for adherence to societal morals and norms. I want urge you to continue using your positive impact to preach what will shape public opinion and disseminate key messages that will ensure peace and order in the State.”
3. Finally, the Commissioner of Police while appreciating the religious leaders for their prayers, support and cooperation, seeks more support in sustaining peace and development of the State.
4. In their responses, the religious leaders appreciated the Commissioner of Police for finding them worthy of this visit and commended the efforts of the Police command under his stewardship that resulted in tackling insecurities despite the challenges in the State. They assured the CP of their maximum cooperation for the overall peace and stability of Kano State.
