KSCB TO SPONSOR DEAF FILMS/DRAMA

The Executive Secretary, Kano State Censorship Board Alh. Abba El-mustapha has expressed redness to sponsor Deaf Films and drama aimed at providing job opportunities to the state teeming youths talkless of entertainment and educating people with special needs.

Abba El-mustapha made the disclosure yesterday during a meeting with Kano State Deaf Film/Drama Club in his office.

While assuring to give his support and cooperation to the Association, El-mustapha promised to intermediate between the Association and Kannywood stakeholders including directors, producers and other members of the crew who could help to actualize positive results.

He further mentained that if the Association could be able to produce quality productions their films would be watched and streamed everywhere nation wide.

He finally advised the Association to register with Board in order to benefit directly from the government programs and empowerment.

Speaking earlier during the meeting the public relations officer of the Association Mal. Rabiu Aliyu Adam expressed their appreciation with the way and manner that the ES and his staff welcomed them and thanked the ES, for his advices on way forward for their Association to be successful film makers and how they could compete with their counterpart nationwide.

He finally pleaded the ES, Kano State Censorship Board to continue leaving his door open for further support, consultation and collaboration.
